Jeffrey Smith

Jeff Smith, a 16-year veteran of Citi, is Global Head of Open Innovation and Global Consumer Bank Liaison for Citi’s CTO Policy, Innovation Enablement, and Strategy group. Previously, Jeff led the Open Innovation team at Citi FinTech, which designed and executed high impact innovation initiatives to advance Citi’s mission of becoming the world’s digital bank. The team’s mandate was to source, accelerate, promote, and support the implementation of innovative digital solutions and business models in partnership with the global FinTech community.

Jeff joined Citi FinTech from Citi Ventures, where he spent 4 years focused on building a connected culture of innovation throughout Citi by creating the systems, capabilities, and processes that support sustainable growth. Working closely with Citi’s global innovation labs and managing the Acceleration Fund, he developed a healthy pipeline of POCs and early stage ideas that ultimately fueled the seeds of future growth and competitive differentiation for Citi. Before joining Citi Ventures, Jeff ran the Enterprise Fraud Detection program for Consumer Operations & Technology. Prior to Citi, Jeff was a senior technology consultant for PeopleSoft and Oracle post-acquisition. Jeff graduated from the University of Delaware with a BS in Business Administration and enjoys swimming, playing guitar, travelling the world and is a big sports, music, and craft beer enthusiast.

Cyle Hepburn

Cyle has been with Citi for over 5 years. He is currently the lead of the Trusted Data Source Program for Citi and further serves as the Data Governance Officer (DGO) Delegate within the Chief Data Office (CDO). This role is responsible for developing, implementing and executing all Data Management programs and initiatives. Cyle’s previous role includes ensuring Data Services delivers on all regulatory commitments and deliverables. Previously at Citi, Cyle played a Governance role to ensure 60+ global Finance and Risk Teams were in compliance with the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision's 239 Principles and the Citi Data Management Policy. His scope of work included developing and implementing data governance policies and standards, ensuring approved data sources implement the appropriate data quality controls, and mitigating any data quality risk within those organizations.

Prior to joining Citi, Cyle was selected to participate in the prestigious JPMorgan Chase & Company Corporate Investment Banking Management Trainee program where he spent 3 years in Leadership roles within Prepaid Card, Global Trade, Global Cash Management, and Corporate Treasury. Cyle has a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Finance from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU). Throughout his career, Cyle has viewed change as opportunity and utilized his platform to effectively deliver on complex tasks. Cyle sits as a Board of Directors member for many non-profit organizations locally and regionally. He has a strong passion for serving and giving back to the individuals within his community.

John Froese

John Froese is the head of Digital PMO & Business administration for the US Consumer digital organization. He joined Citi in 2006 as part of contact center operations. He current responsibilities include serving as the Chief of Staff to the NAM Chief Digital officer, and leading the Digital program management office, Finance and Analytics teams within USCD.

His prior experience spans multiple different areas of the organization including Operations, Technology, Fintech & Digital . He has had multiple international assignments for Citi and worked across three different locations in the US.

John was born in Sacremento, California and spent most of his childhood in Dallas, Texas. He currently makes his home in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife Inese and their four children. When not working he enjoys watching the English Premier league (soccer) and is a passionate Arsenal fan.

Shuchi Patel

Shuchi joined Citi in late 2019 as a senior leader in the Digital Payments team, responsible for P2P Payments/Zelle and Payment Hub, the digital payments experience across all payment & transfer products. She is responsible for driving friction-less digital experiences, adoption and engagement across these products. Under her leadership, digital payment journeys have led to significant increases in unique users and self-service rates.

Shuchi has over 15 years of experience in product development and technology in Telecommunication, Media and Financial Services industries. She is an accomplished leader with a long track-record in designing and building innovative first-of-a-kind digital products ranging from payments, marketing & gamification platforms, cloud services and bespoke embedded devices.

Prior to joining Citi, Shuchi held several Product and Technology leadership roles at Chase, Barclays and Verizon.

Shuchi has a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Georgia and MBA from the Southern Methodist University.

Shuchi lives in Dallas, Texas with her 2 dogs and a constant rotation of foster dogs. She is passionate about animal rescue and serves on the board of a local non-profit animal rescue.

Ramee Karthikeyan

Ramee is a Data Scientist and has been with Citi Private Bank for more than two and a half years. As part of CPB Innovation team, Ramee analyzes data and creates data models for dashboards and analytics. She builds data visualizations, develops data products and utilizes Natural Language Processing and machine learning algorithms, to create insights from data.

Ketan Reddy

Ketan first joined Citi as a Summer Analyst in 2017 working in Equities Analytics. After graduating from The Rochester Institute of Technology with a BS in Computer Engineering, he joined Citi full time via the Analyst Program. In the program, Ketan did his first rotation in Commercial Cards then joined Citi Private Bank for his second. Since graduating the Analyst Program, Ketan has stayed on the CPB Innovation team full time as a Senior Engineer. Currently he is leading the Innovation team in developing the next generation of data and analytics platforms leveraging cutting edge technologies. Ketan is also on the forefront of the adoption and standardization of CI/CD pipelines in the Private Bank.
